Home away from home.

Room 170 was where I recovered after my c-section. Since recovery was not the party I was expecting, the best part of it would definitely be the nurses that helped me through everything. We opted to have Zachary feed on demand since I was really set on breastfeeding. The nurses would bring him in when he was hungry and I would attempt to feed him as I learned the techniques.
One of our favorite nurses was Ms. Judy. She made my hospital stay much more tolerable. She took care of us and we certainly kept her on her toes but we were truly grateful. We really wished we could have taken her home with us!

Since breastfeeding didn't come so easily, we were advised to supplement with formula so Zach would gain the appropriate weight to bring him home. Here is Zach in his Bili bed to help out his jaundice. He had to sleep in this for the entire day.He's only 3 days old!

After four days of recovery, David and I headed home with our little bundle of joy. Let the adventures begin!
